Despite the hordes at Ynyslas late afternoon there were good numbers of waders on the sand banks in the middle of the estuary. Eleven bar-tailed godwits, three whimbrel, two turnstone, 13 sanderling, 12 knot, 580 ringed plover and 240 dunlin were good counts considering the number of people either swimming, kayaking, water skiing etc.
