Aberystwyth and Ynyslas

Just a Med Gull with c30 Black-headed in the surf at South Bay this morning.  Further along  near Castle Point at least 45 Turnstones and a Ringed Plover.

I arrived at Ynyslas to find Keith Worden scanning through the small waders past the tern posts.  As the tide dropped more flew in until at least 200 Dunlin and Ringed Plovers,  the majority RPs.  Keith picked out the first of our two Little Stints and nearby were a Sanderling and a Turnstone.

Commonest bird was Linnet.  Flocks of them.all over the beach and saltings.  No count as they were very active, but certainly in the hundreds.
