Borth and Ynyslas

Windswept Borth and evening at Ynyslas

Yesterday afternoon at about 4pm pleased to bump into a juvenile Ruff and Little stint on the windswept wases of Borth beach. Had great views of them feeding high up the beach where the open sand gives way to shingle.
Earliet had a brief view of a diver, probably RT, but it vanished so remained unconfirmed.

At Ynyslas in the evening, there was a flock of 29 Brent geese off the Beach and a group of 5 Sanderling along the tide line.

There were about 200 Oystercatchers on a spit to the north of the bay, and the Brent Geese joined them later. Very few other waders in evidence, apart from 3 Dunlin and 5 Knot, presumably due to tide not being high enough by the time the light faded.
A pair of Stonechats on the dunes was a nice addition to the day list.
