Quiet at the Tern posts when I arrived this morning. I was just about to leave and go round to the point when Russell arrived, we had a brief chat before I continued, leaving him at the Posts.
At the point there were 8 Sandwich Terns and a mixed flock of about 300 birds mostly Dunlins, Ringed Plovers, a few Sanderlings and 4 Turnstones. I managed to pick out 4 juv Curlew Sandpipers amongst them before the roost was disturbed with most birds flying up river.
Went back to join Russell who put me onto A juv Curlew Sandpiper there before it flew.
