Had walks at Llangrannog, New Quay, Mwnt, Cardigan, Gwebert.
Overall it seemed rather quiet birdwise, although it was, of course, great
for us to see Choughs again (2 Llangrannnog and 3 at Mwnt). Was a nice selection
of waterfowl off Gwbert (Patch?) on Sunday, as the tide was turning with 5
Ringed Plover, 2 Dunlin, 3 Redshank, 2 smart Greenshank, Oystercatcher and
Curlew, small flock of Wigeon, at least 12 Med Gulls and 10 Little
Egrets.
Best wildlife sighting was of 2 Bottlenose Dolphins close in shore off
Mwnt. Otherwise just a single Gannet, a shag and 2 Guillemots and a Stonechat
there, plus the Choughs.
Saw just a handful of Redwing from the car, not sure where now! Had 1200
over a site In I survey in Oxfordshire last week!
