Been getting out of bed early all week in the hope of witnessing some substantial viz mig at the coast, but to no avail. Back to the grind tomorrow. It will probably all happen in the next couple of weeks.
Quietish at Llanrhystud, with a Peregrine overhead and still two Wheatears and 640 Golden Plovers. Following up on Red Liford mentioning to me that he'd seen 7 Ring Ouzels a few days ago in Cwm Berwyn, I headed there too. Heavy rain meant I was forced to scan from the car rather than go for a pleasant autumnal stroll but I managed to get on to a male in a large Rowan tree, not far from the road, 200m from Cwmberwyn farm.720583.
