Visited the Trisant Lakes today with help from Harry Pepper on finding the locations.
On Llyn Frongoch
the six Whooper swans are still present and a solitary Moorhen. In
the Hawthorns at the south end of the lake a few Fieldfares were feeding. At
Llyn Rhosrhydd the female Goldeneye is still present, now joined by a male
Tufted Duck and Grey Heron. On Llyn Glandwgan only a pair of Mallards were
visible though a small flock (20+) of Fieldfares flying between the trees were
of more interest.
Driving back to the main road, a large flock
(100+) of Fieldfares flew across the road.
