Latest from my visit there yesterday afternoon.
Again fairly close views of a female marsh harrier hunting over the Meirionnydd salting. Some wader movement at last :3 green sandpipers, 27 lapwing, 7 redshank.
Most exciting sighting was the lapwing – first I’ve seen since distant ones at Lodge farm in May.
Who would have thought that lapwing and redshank would become so scarce on what used to be one of Wales top sites.
Amazingly close views also of GW and little egrets.
