A huge flock of perhaps 1600 Lapwings were at Ty Gwyn pools this morning. Also on the pools were a very vocal Whooper Swan and a Shelduck. Numbers of the regular waders and gulls seem to be declining at Llansantffraed as winter progresses. However, 4 Med Gulls (inc one in virtually full breeding plumage), 70 Common Gulls and 3 Little Egrets were present.
