A quick look around the bottom of Pen Dinas this morning, to see that most of the warblers are now in, notably 1-2 Lesser Whitethroats in the bushes alongside the cycle path to Rhydyfelin. Also Whitethroat, Sedge and Cetti's Warbler, but no Garden Warbler. The Sand Martin colony on the Ystwyth appears to be re-established, with at least 14 birds there, and several Swallows and a House Martin over. Three male Goosanders on the river.
Then two more Lesser Whitethroats in gardens by the harbour, one Purple Sandpiper off Castle Point, and a raft of a dozen or so Sandwich Terns floating off North Beach.
