After the roads had thawed enough I drove to the ford at the Clettwr and walked halfway down to the bridge. A wonderful sunny afternoon with beautiful light. Highlights were both male and ringtail hen harrier, two marsh harriers, three green sandpipers, a goshawk attempting to take lapwings, a female Merlin perched on a post, two squealing water rails and a grey wagtail at the ford. Thoroughly enjoyable though a mite cold.
