6a.m -7.30a.m Main boardwalk: grasshopper warbs 3, willow warbs 4,swallows 2, female goosander flying south 1,mutes 3 ads flying, mallard 2,herons 2,willow tit 1,garden warb/blkcap(only a snatch of song)cuckoo 1( later seen flying east),mistle(in Tillo's wood),blackbird.robin,wren,bluey,great tit,meadow pipit,reed bunt,crows 8.
Either side of the boardwalk were the most dog prints I have ever seen as the bog is dryish so good luck bog rosemary(I say this as a dog person). No BHG's on the pond all day but Canada geese most entertaining.In front of the visitor building the flash was showing loads of mud but not a single bird!
Later the cloud and breeze dropped and up the hill our first blackcap arrived and the piedys were singing relentlessly altho I haven't seen a female yet.
