I was talking to Richard Stagg today, who has a farm near Llandysul; and he mentioned that he only has 5 pairs of swallows in his barns - and usually he has around 20 pairs.
Given that there is concern over wheatear numbers, I wondered if this was worth mentioning on the blog?
