Jim Marshall's sightings

Jim Marshall's sightings from his house on the Dyfi this past week have included 17 Whimbrel and 2 Wheatear on April 18th. 11 Whimbrel, 7 Wheatear and 3 Greenshank on the 19th. 9 Whimbrel, 8 Grasshopper Warblers heard reeling and drumming Snipe on the 20th. 14 Whimbrel, 12 Wheatear, 2 male Goosander and 3 male Red-breasted Merganser (females laying or sitting?) on the 21st. 19 Whimbrel, 5 Wheatear on the 22nd. 32 Whimbrel, 2 Curlew, 5 Grasshopper Warblers and 1 large Otter with large eel on the 23rd. 12 Whimbrel, 2 Curlew and 1 Great White Egret on the 24th. And, 1 Bar-tailed Godwit in breeding plumage, first major movement of Dunlin - groups of up to c130 on the move - 40 Ringed Plover and 2 (escapee) Snow Geese heading East on the 25th.
Also, in summary, Redshank numbers declining, only single birds seen (females sitting or laying) Common Sandpipers increasing in number, 5 pairs so far and Little Ringed Plover, only 2 pairs confirmed so far.
