There, at high tide, the three of us saw a good wader roost: 424 Dunlin, 260 Ringed Plover, 21 Whimbrel, 3 Sanderling, 2 Knot and 1 Black and
1 Bar-tailed Godwit. One of the Whimbrels posed for a photo.
Bob then returned for domestic duties while we watched a smashing looking summer plumaged Golden Plover on the field behind the caravans. There were also 27 Wheatears and 2 White Wagtails. Finally, we 'scoped an obliging Grasshopper Warbler.
