I was delighted to find that the ring-necked duck was still there this morning and with no waves the views were excellent. A lifer on the last day of the year. Thanks to everybody who has been tracking its movements. Unfortunately I don't have any digiscoping kit. (Do any of you digiscope with simple £100 type digital compact cameras or are the wonderful photos taken with SLRs? I don't want to spend a fortune and will probably have to make my own adaptor for my scope.)
Would you believe that I got stung by a dead wasp today! It was at the end of the finger of an old pair of gloves and I must have forced my finger on to its sting. 2 hours ago and still throbbing.
