Garden Birds

During the cold spell there has been a very marked influx of birds to the garden feeders and in to my small patch of woodland. Amongst the more common species there were regularly ten Blackbirds along with the usual Robins (6) Blue Tits, Coal Tits, Great Tits, Jays (2), Magpies(3), Chaffinches galore, Starlings (10) , Nuthatch(3), Greater Spotted Woodpecker (3) pair of Bullfinches, Goldfinches (5) and numerous Rooks, Crows and Jackdaws. In the woodland two Woodcock and two Common Snipe.

Birds conspicuous by their absence at the feeders are Siskins and Greenfinch - are there many around at the moment?
