In response to Mervyn Lloyd's query I received a report of a spotted crake on the edge of Cors Fochno/Borth last Saturday. The crake was in a private garden and the owner has requested that the locality be withheld. I am awaiting a written description of the sighting/photograph so that the record can be verified and I have respected the observer's wishes regarding privacy.
