From the cycle track on the old railway line past Ystrad Meurig on the 2nd we saw a Merlin, a Kestrel and a Peregrine, a Stonechat, 4 Reed Buntings, 9 Snipe in a green flush amongst the snows with a single Lapwing.
Crossing Cors Caron to Swyddffynnon we saw 2 more Kestrel, a female Hen Harrier and a Goosander.
