March, for the last few years, has resounded to the sound of flails and chainsaws pulverising the ancient and wonderful hedgerows but it is an ill wind....today at Clarach sparrows were picking up bits of atomised gorse bush for nest material! No doubt heading off to some roof which still allows access under the eave.
It is also the best month to watch our wealth of raptors strutting their stuff in the skies and against the clear blue local buzzards were putting on a breath-taking flying display.
When I've finished bashing our gappy brambles I shall be out to catch a glimpse of displaying Gossies.
