Dyfi Junction

When I tell my friends living in the "civilised" South East that our local railway station has parking for 4 cars max' and that it's then a half-mile walk along a pot-holed, unlit track to the platform they tend to laugh. Some laugh at the "quaintness", but others are just bemused and wondering why on earth we would want to live here.........
Today I went to Dyfi Junction to pick up Jaq and the little boys from the Aberystwyth train. As I got out of the car I could hear a Grasshopper Warbler reeling, and when I reached the platform I whiled away the time waiting for the train by watching an Osprey eating a fish on a nearby telegraph pole.
