A productive walk with Bob today, starting with a good selection of warblers at the lime kilns: Chiffchaff, Willow Warbler, Blackcap, Whitethroat and Lesser Whitethroat, the latter being a belated year-first for both of us.
Nearby, on the foreshore, 4 Turnstones, 5 Ringed Plovers, 3 Dunlin, 4 Common Sandpipers, 8 Whimbrel, 8 Sandwich Terns and the imm. Common Gull which Harry and I saw there on Saturday, our first returnee of the summer in Ceredigion. 4 Common Scoters flew south over the sea.

At Llansantffraed 80 Mediterranean Gulls were on the foreshore and 32 at nearby Llanon making 112 in total.
Bob glimpsed a Dipper in the stream by Llansantffraed church.
