Borth

A short sea watch between 0700 and 0800 produced 2 balearic shearwater north just off Upper Borth but manx shearwater numbers were low with only about 200 north in that time though apparenty there were 2-3000 rafting off-shore by about 0830. 3 common scoter north and 4 red-breasted mergansers flying south added a bit of variety. Very quiet at Ynyslas with about 60 linnet at the northern point; with all the lapland buntings in Britain at the moment I was hoping to get one there but no luck. Will keep trying though!
