Clettwr to Ynys-hir

A nice stroll checking the landward railway-line fence and birding whilst doing so. 5 greenshank on the Clettwr with a few wheatear and chiffchaff in the scrub but little else of note. At the Breakwater hide, stopping for a breather, there were 7 black-tailed godwit and a juv. ruff on the mud estuary side with lots of smaller waders which were too far away to identify. One late sedge warbler in the reeds behind the hide and a few alba wagtails feeding on the fields.
