Roseate Terns at Ynyslas

During a regular ringing trip to ring waders at Ynyslas on 8th September (unusually) two terns were caught (one adult and 1 juv) and both were already ringed. Initially identified (in dim torch light!) as Common Terns they were both subsequently identified from measurements as Roseate Terns. Very interesting to find out where they have come from but not difficult to guess that it is almost certainly Rockabill Island.
