Last night many of the starlings left Aber pier heading in the direction of Aber golf course on Consti. This happened about the same time of year last year but I never found out where they went. On my way into Aber late this afternoon (4pm) I saw waves of thousands of starlings coming over Clarach from Aber and following the valley to Bow Street. So I followed them to Bow Street where they turned left to follow the A487 through Talybont. They continued along the A487 and when they reached the Wildfowler in Trerddol they turned off to follow the Clettwr for a short while before disappearing out of sight heading north over the flat fields towards Ynyshir, I guess possibly to the reed beds?
