Domen Las Hide, Ynyshir, around Monday lunchtime: a pair of goosanders swam
downriver, the male looking very smart in his winter plumage. The pond near
Ynys Edwin, in the middle of the reserve, had mallard, teal, one shoveler
and a pheasant who was doing some wading. A very pale buzzard
circled overhead.
