Llannon
Never thought I'd ever see a Lapland Bunting but today saw at least 4 in the stubble fields south of the village. Some fantastic close views of individuals. Thanks to those who found and reported them. Much obliged. Not easy to tell how many were still present. Brown streaky birds in a flock of mixed brown streaky birds(Skylarks, Meadow Pipits and Reed Buntings) and all set against a background best described as brown and streaky. A good variety of common waders on the beach and close in view of a diver which looked like a Black-throated but I could be mistaken. Andy James was there too and we were debating whether it was this or a Great Northern. A dozen Scoter flew past.
