This weather is certainly bringing out the worse in some of our birds. This morning I witnessed in the field at the bottom of my garden a young juvenile Buzzard that looked a little the worse for the weather being pounded by a much larger adult all attempts to escape by the younger bird that was obviously very weak was thwarted by the bigger bird. Then much to my horror two more adult birds appeared from the sky and joined in pounding the juvenile. Just when I thought it was curtains for the young bird the second two attackers flew off then after a further few minutes the original offending adult flew off leaving the juvenile sitting motionless in the middle of the field. After around five minutes he / she managed to muster the strength to get airborne again. Hip Hip Hooray it’s so good to see the underdog win through cheers you up for the rest of the day J
