GULLS
Chris Bird noticed 4 Mediterranean Gulls on College Rocks at Aberystwyth yesterday; an adult and 3 second winter birds. Hardly any others have been seen so far this year.
Today I saw an adult Med. Gull amongst a flock of several hundred Common and Black-headed Gulls on the meadows by the car park at Llanrhystud. With an almost complete black head it was very noticeable. I arrived just after lunch and sadly missed Ian Morris but did see the 2 first winter Little Gulls flying back and forth along the shore. I took a few record shots with my little compact camera but they needed the likes of Janet Baxter or Kev Joynes or Mike Hayward to do them justice and in the poor light.
