With the tide right in a couple of Little Gulls were fluttering gracefully backwards and forwards over the edge of the water just 20m away and immediately next to the car park. Hard to drag myself away and go for a walk after this start. Two Mergansers flew over my head as I watched them and a third was out at the point impersonating a Cormorant. Also saw 70 Wigeon, 8 Red-throated Divers, 9 Redshank and 50 Curlews.
