More butterflies than birds around the garden today with a bit of sunshine at last bringing them out, mostly large and small whites but several newly hatched Red Admirals judging by their immaculate colour and condition, the odd Tortoiseshell and a couple of Peacocks. However the sighting of the day a complete surprise and a first in fourteen years was a Hobby. No bins to hand as I was gardening but I would guess from it's size it was a juv or a male.
