Mistle Thrushes and Butterflies

A flock of 20 Mistle Thrushes flew past my house near Ystrad Meurig.

On the north end of Cors Caron two immature Kestrels, excellent numbers of Peacocks as reported by Liz Snell and a very worn Dark Green Fritillary, first I’ve seen in Mid Wales. Chiffchaffs singing near wood.

Last week a visit to the little reserve on the south of Bleanplwyf showed Graylings and Wall Browns on the wall at the top of the hill plus Common Blues, a family of Stonechats and a Whitethroat.
