Mwnt and Ynyslas turn

Yesterday I took a look out to sea from Mwnt; arriving at 6.30am and happily staring out to sea until 10.00am. Some 6000 manx shearwaters flew south with lots of gannets, fulmar, kittiwakes and razorbills adding some variety. A total of 29 common scoter flew south too along with a single common tern and a sandwich tern.
This morning, not having time before work to get to Mwnt and back, I again went to Ynyslas turn but shearwaters were passing at too far a range, occasionally appearing over the horizon before dissapearing again. Reward for the early morning was a dark phase arctic skua harrying terns and later a rather nice Pomarine skua a lot closer in again scaring the life out of the sandwich terns.
