RBGull and bread

Having very carefully read the posting on the Ceredigion Blog on this topic, I am totally at a loss to understand where the writer is coming from. His point seems unclear to me.

Having spent a great deal of time in Cardigan this last week many hours of which were spent watching the gull(s) it is clear the bird has a strong preference for taking natural food as opposed to bread anyway. It also spends time resting, preening, sleeping and sitting on ‘its pole’. From many hours of observation the bird is not desperate for food and eats only what and when it chooses. Clearly no one is interfering with this birds well being and its current way of life.

There is an apparent inference in the posting that people with a camera are wrong to feed birds but other people in life including bird watchers etc are not.
