A late tern was fishing between the stone pier and the Castle rocks today at around 10am though several hundred metres away; through bins it looked like a juv Arctic but the bill was a bit big. Chris, Harry were you watching by any chance?
Tuesday in strong winds at Llanon there were 5 wheatears all strongly coloured from throat to tail coverts on the ploughed field and beach. Skylarks also but couldn't keep the optics still enough to pick out any Laps though it was cold!
Chiffchaff still singing at home.
