On Wednesday a small group of us visited Domen Las hide and had several thrilling views of 2 Harriers doing battle in the air. We also saw Kestrel, Buzzard, Red Kite, Common Sandpiper and a Spotted Redshank. On Thursday John and I visited the same hide and had superb views of a single Ring-tailed Hen Harrier as well as this Bar-headed Goose. The Harrier caught at least 3 small mammals while we were watching. Today Mervyn and I went to the same hide (yet again), and watched probably the same Ring-Tail hunting over the saltings on the other side of the estuary for about 20 minutes. A kingfisher also put in a brief appearance.
