Thank heavens for birds

Having seen conclusive proof this morning that God is French I was in desperate need of a pick me up thankfully birds to the rescue. At Llanon a female/immature Merlin shot along the beach putting up all of the waders and gulls and three Lapland Buntings were in with the two hundred or so Skylarks in the crop fields. Later at Tregaron a cracking immature Marsh Harrier cruised around the southern end of the reserve flushing small flocks Mallards and a single Green Sandpiper. Six Nations next then!
