Slightly out of the county spotted my first two Sand Martins over Clewedog
this afternoon despite the blanket of mist and a struggling 2 degrees C
they appeared on the scene around lunch time feeding over the water nice
to see them; incidently a few ago I found a Sand Martin fledgling in a 5
pound Trout I was cleaning; not all danger comes from above it seems.
Closer to home I watched a slendid display by a male Rook tonight on
Clarach beach it took on the shape of a Red Grouse with fanned tail and
arched wings bobbing and fanning it was quite something to watch; Mrs Rook
gave him a slight nod and continued sifting the beach debris obviously not
as impressed as I was!
