Thanks again for the Lesser Spotted Woodpecker! Afterwards we spent a few hours on the reserve and saw 2 White-fronted Geese, Greenshank, Peregrine, 2 Stonechat, 2 Goldeneye, 4 Red-breasted Merganser (2f, 2m) and 3 Sand Martins over the pools below the Marian Mawr Hide.
Then we went on to the mouth of the Leri and had fabulous views of a hunting Short-eared Owl, a Merlin and a male Wheatear.
Yesterday (Wednesday) we went to Cross Inn Forest and saw the Great Grey Shrike. Thanks again to John Davis for great directions!
