Colour Ringed Whimbrel

The colour ringed Whimbrel I recorded at Ynyslas Point last Wednesday had been ringed at Llanon on the 10th May, this year. It was one of the 47 that have been ringed along the coast of Ceredigion this season by the Mid-Wales Ringing Group, as part of a national monitoring programme of the movements of this red listed wader. Any observations of colour ringed birds should be sent to this group or to the BTO.
