Cwm Brefi

Annual Leave. My favourite part of my professional working life. As usual, a host of good birds to see in Cwm Brefi; Pied and Spotted Flycatchers,Dipper, Grey Wagtail,Common Sandpiper, Peregrine, Wood Warbler, Whinchat, Wheatear, Stonechat, Cuckoo, Reed Bunting and Yellowhammer. No sign of any Linnets, which are usually rather common here. However, I did see a flock of about 30 adults a couple of miles away which looked to be in transit to somewhere. I imagine this chilly weather has possibly delayed a lot of things from setting up territories. In contrast, at least two pairs of Stonechats had already bred successfully.
