The ospreys have had a mixed week on the Dyfi. All three chicks hatched on Monday evening, Tuesday morning and Thursday morning. By the time the afternoon rain had stopped yesterday however one the chicks had died - the first one and seemingly the strongest. As happens with so many Scottish ospreys, a bad bout of weather at the wrong time can be disastrous.
Both remaining chicks were feeding well tonight but more rain is forecast over the weekend. Fingers crossed.
Both parents tried desperately to keep all three chicks dry throughout Thursday
