Yesterday we went to check on some neighbours a bit senior to us, they are close to one of the places where the Einion has burst its bank. They have lived there for donkey's yonks and have never seen the river in such a fury. This morning we took the dogs for a walk along Ynys-hir lane but could only get as far as the old vicarage because the lane is now a river - the Springwatch village has been swamped. Jacqui has just returned from checking a neighbour's house - they're on holiday - she's just phoned to tell them their cellar is flooded.
Thank goodness it has now stopped raining but everywhere I look there seems to be water.
It's not looking good for our wildlife.
