Around Ynyslas, etc

A quiet Thursday morning with John and Bob.  Started at the turn car park where around 75 Common Scoter and a couple of Red-throated Divers were closer in than usual. Also 15 Wigeon dropped onto the sea.
At Ynyslas a stiff easterly was whipping up the sand making it difficult to find anything, despite the fact that we were all armed with new scopes. Best of the birds was a solitary Brent Goose.
Next to the Clettwr, where we managed three distant Black-tailed Godwits and a late Red Admiral before retiring to the Limit Cafe in Borth for breakfast/brunch.
Later I came out of Morrisons to find a Small Tortoiseshell settled on my car.
