A male brambling was under the feeders at Nant yr Arian this afternoon. Earlier in the day, a group (can you call them a herd if they're flying?) of swans flew south over Aberystwyth sea front. I like to think that they were a group of Bewicks fleeing before the northerly wind, but they were too far away to be sure.
