A few (5/6) Common Swifts passing over Aberaeron yesterday morning, Monday 5th while up to ten this morning, Tuesday 6th and two this evening. My first of the year in fact - much later than previous years. Either I haven't been looking properly or they are later than usual.
A related question - House Martins seem very much reduced in numbers as well as being much later than usual - have I been missing these as well??!! Perhaps I should get to Specsavers.
Grey Wagtails feeding young on the Aeron at the back of Jewsons, but the usual sound of the Dipper as it flies up and down the river has been missing this year.
