Llanrhystyd Gull Fest
A few pictures from last night's visit to Llamrhystyd with Arfon. An amazing 565 Med Gulls logged - mostly adults but with good numbers of juveniles. Three white darvics logged - 3E71, E336, E317. Several others with metal rings on. The 1cy Yellow legged Gull below was also in the flock with a few Herrings and LBBGs. One common gull present too. 4 Sandwich Terns and 2 lovely Little Terns on the rocks- the adult still feeding the youngster. One juv White Wag present too, while the previous day held an adult White swag and a juv Yellow. A juv Hobby was at Ynys Hir early morning with 4 Knot and 7 Sanderling being the wader highlights amongst 150 each of Dunlin and Ringed Plover on the incoming tide. 2 Black tailed Godwit at Glandwr also.
