Went today with son, Tomos, aged 9 and a bit. Therefore, distracted somewhat by crashing waves, throwing rocks in the sea, being cajoled into wriggling under electric fence on to beach, looking wrong way into telescope up in to each others nostrils etc. etc. Fortunately, lots of birds about too. We saw about 30 Med Gulls and a couple of Sandwich Terns plus a number of waders inc. Ringed Plover 53, Dunlin 18, Turnstone 12 and a single Sanderling.
