bits 'n bobs

Brief views of many thousands of Starlings streamimng east over Talgarreg yesterday at dusk. This morning, at Cockshead/Waun Garthenor; single Crossbill, Woodcock and Willow Tit. I like the idea of the 3 species of owl at dusk at Cors Caron. Will make a mental note of it in my"things to try and and do before winter ends" list. Talking of which. Has anybody seen the Great Grey Shrike at Cross Inn Forest this winter?
